Great running tonight everyone!
I meant to say that Miranda has a spare number for
Exbury 10k if anyone is interested. Please get in touch with me asap and I will forward your details.
Next week, our last week, the plan is to run a timed 10k. As Moyna suggested, we will do the loop to River Park first(1.1 miles) and then our usual 5mile route. We would like as many as possible to do the 10k route, but see how you are feeling- especially if you have been ill or injured.
Just wonderful to see some of you complete your 10k tonight!
Special thanks to Moyna for being so brilliant every week and giving up her time and energy to make this possible.
Very proud of you all.

Thursday evening group. This week you have two options. To run the same 5 mile route as last week (and try and be a bit quicker) or do the full 10k which is 6.1 miles.
I have found an extra flat, well lit mile!! Do the route as before, looping back through the cathedral, past the Wykeham and along by the river. Instead of turning right and running back towards the track, cross over the road at the bridge,by
Pizza Express and turn right and run along
Water Lane to the end, turn left, cross over, run past
The Willow Tree pub, past police station, along
North Walls, right by the traffic lights, past the
art college, towards
River Park and turn around at the playground. This is 0.5miles, so running back the route you have just done towards Pizza Express and then crossing back over and then towards the track will make it roughly 10k!
Hope this makes sense! Any questions, please ask. Next week is our final session when we will all be running a timed 10k.
Happy running and thanks for being so great to train!
(This might be a good time to start thinking about what you plan to do after your 10k and think about a new goal to set yourself whether it is increasing your distance, improving your 10k time in a race later this Spring or returning to a 5k and aiming to improve your speed.)

We are delighted with your progress ladies! Last week was a real breakthough. Well done.
This week, although it is half term, we have decided to offer a session for those interested due to the session missed because of the snow. The plan is to run 5 miles non-stop. As last week was 4.7 miles it will only be about 5 more minutes...
< Exbury 10k is now full and sadly I cannot make it due to my coaching course being rescheduled for the same date (sorry). The good news is Esme and Moyna will be running Bolt the Holt 10k 27th March. This is an off road 10k near Farnham and it sounds great fun!
Go for it!

Friday 5k: Week 2
Well done everyone this week, it was cold out there!
Welcome to Annie and Steph who joined us today and to Viktoria who has returned to restart her running.
Good to hear how a few of you have ‘buddied- up’ and are doing some of your runs together, amazing how much easier it is when you are encouraging each other.
This week’s session was:
RUN 2 mins / WALK 1 min..........Repeated 7 times
Please complete this session twice more before next Friday.
Thank you Jane and Vivienne for giving support to the group.
Enjoy your week’s running – see you all on Friday.
