Final SAL match of the season - Thanks and Results

WADAC won our final Southern Athletics League match of the season, hosted at Winchester this Saturday.  It was a very close match where the lead was continuously changing between us and Eastbourne.

There were many PBs and everyone put in an extra effort for us to get as many points as possible, we just have to wait and see if we have done enough to get a promotion.

Huge thanks to all the volunteers and officials whose efforts made the match to run smoothly and be a great success, it is greatly appreciated by everyone.

Provisional results can be previewed on: http://bit.ly/1qzHf1O and I will post a link to the final results when available.

A few photos are on the WADAC Website: http://www.wadac.org.uk/photos/sal-match-5-winchester-2nd-august-2014/#gallery1118588

Thank you to everyone who has taken part over the season, its been great and so much fun.  Looking forward to next year :-)

Final SAL Match 2nd August at Winchester sign Up or Help :-)

Please sign up now to take part in or help at the next SAL match on Saturday 2nd August at Winchester. (thanks to those who have already signed up :-))

Following our second place finish at Carshalton we are in seventh place in our division (div 3S),  If we do really well in the final match of the season it is still possible for us to get promoted (top 4 teams in the league go up) so we are looking for as many people to sign up as possible.

The league is for all age groups from U17 through to seniors and veterans (minimum age of 15 on 31st August 2014, there is no upper age limit!).  Points are awarded for two athletes per club per discipline, additional 'non-scoring' athletes are also encouraged.  There are a wide variety of standards of athletes, so you don't need to be experienced in track and field to take part.

The league covers all sprints, relays, hurdles, throws, jumps, middle and long distance runs and steeplechase. For the full choice of events please see the timetable: (http://www.southernathletics.org.uk/assets/files/SALtimetable.pdf)
