Thank you to all of you who ran/jumped and threw for the team on Monday at Portsmouth. We didn't manage to fill our teams (possibly too early in the Season for some) but those who did compete put in some impressive performances.
The Ladies were 2nd and the Men 6th.

It was great to see 2 new sprinters, Ben Anderson and Richard Cooper join the team. We had a full male sprinting trio with Henry running a PB in the V50 100m and also 2 non-scorers Mark and Jeremy. That is a first for the team in my reign as Team Manager.
The ladies sprinters saw wins for Kathryn and Moira and 3 points from me in my first ever 100m! I hope it is my last, come on Sue and Alison we need you!
It was disappointing not to fill all the male 400m slots (come on chaps….) but a great run from Andy Gannaway (the day after he came 4th in an 11k race!) and another PB from Henry earned us some valuable points.
Sue True ran a fast 400m and then filled in for the 1500m B String. Lucy took a convincing win in the A string 1500m V35, Liz won the V60 and Madeline a very close 2nd in the V50.
Although Marius was disappointed with his 1500m it looked great to me as did Franklyn, it is still early in the Season. David Vosser and Martyn West are both class acts with Martyn wining the V60 and David a close 2nd in the V50.
Thank you to Moyna, our only walker.
Out in the field Sally Serridge won the Javelin, Sue won the triple, Moira the high jump. Assisted by Sue H and Liz.
Ben proved that he is also a useful jumper coming second in the long jump. Other members of the team filled in to gain points so thank you.
For me the highlight of the evening was the 4 x 100m relays. The WADAC Chaps (Mark, Jeremy, Ben and Richard) were pipped on the line by Southampton (49.3 to 49.9) and the Ladies won (60.5 to Portsmouth 60.8). This was with Karen "marathon legs" and Sue "4th event of the night" being sandwiched between the class acts of Moira and Kathryn!
Finally thanks to our officials- Graham, Pam, Marie, Tony and Ewan, without you these events wouldn't happen.
