Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 5:43PM WADAC's Andy Greenleaf, competing for Serpentine RC, won the prestigous RG Active Winter BallBuster duathlon today.
Alan Murchison, competing for Winchester & District AC, recorded a fourth-placed finish and took victory in the MV40 category.
The BullBuster consisted of an 8 mile run, a 24 mile cycle, followed by another 8 mile run. All of Andy's running was quicker than 5:30/mi pace... very impressive under any conditions, but all the more incredible by the fact that the course made multiple ascents of Box Hill.
Well done chaps!

Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 11:57AM Message from Bill Reed (Chair of Wessex Tri Club). See schedule below for training times and venues which WADAC members are welcome to go along to. "The open water stuff is summer months only of course.. If you have WADAC members that would be interested please feel free to send them our way. Their first swim session is free and Carol/Lizzie offer a bit of stroke analysis to get things moving.. The swim training is Tri specific rather than just normal lanes stuff.. "
Bill would like to liaise with someone from the club about linking WADAC and the Tri Club ( he is also doing the same with Sotonia (cycling club) Wessex Tri are also CTCC (Cycling Time Trials) affiliated. If you are interested in speaking to Bill then let me know on volunteer@wadac.org.uk and I will forward his details.
