More multi-sport success for WADAC !

Many congratulations to Sam Aplin on becoming an Age Group World Champion at the ITU Duathlon (run/bike/run) World Championships in held in Aviles Spain over the weekend.  Her fantastic result can be seen here  http://www.triathlon.org/results/result/2016_aviles_itu_duathlon_world_championships/281094.  Sam and her coach Martin Davis are regularly training with our senior endurance athletes on a Tuesday evening, do say hello and congratulate her. 

Congratulations also to India Lee continuing her fine run of results by winning the elite ladies event at the Blenheim Triathlon.....also regularly training with us on Tuesdays and Thursdays, usually on the grass.

Victory in Italy one week, Portugal the next - Well done India

Congratulations to India Lee who took gold at the 2016 Lisbon Triathlon European Championships this weekend.

One Free Entry into the Bowood Sprint/Super Sprint Duathlon (Wiltshire) 4th October 2015

WADAC has been offered a free entry for one member into the Bowood Sprint or Super Sprint Duathlon taking place in the picturesque grounds of Bowood House, near Chippenham on the 4th October 2015

The Super Sprint consists of a 2.5km run, 12km cycle and 2.5km run; whilst the Sprint is 5km, 21km and 5km.

If anyone is interested drop an email to tri@wadac.org.uk by 5pm on the 19th August; if there is interest from more than one member then names will go into a hat.

WINCHESTER & DISTRICT ANNUAL AWARDS

 

No not the WADAC Annual Awards but congratulations to India Lee who again won the Sportswoman of the Year prize at the Annual Awards organised by the Winchester SPAA (Sport & Physical Activity Alliance).

India is one of the UK's elite tri-athletes and has enjoyed a fantastic season placing 6th in the European Cup and scoring 2 podium finishes in the British Championship Series.  

We're proud to have her racing for WADAC !
