The British Masters Championships were held at Lee Valley on the 9th and 10th March.
Andy Gannaway won a silver medal in the M55 800m. After a slow first lap, Andy decided to take it on and slowly wound it up. He heard the gathering crowd with 300m to go, so stepped it up again and kept the lead until the last 10 metres when there was a great sprint finish from another athlete.
Kathryn Miles won a bronze medal in the W45 60m, in a time of 8.56, just 1/100th slower than her PB.
Henry Hopkins, second claim Winchester, won a gold medal in the M60 triple jump and was 5th in the 200m, with his best time for two years.
Dave Roberts who has recently moved to Winchester from Brighton, and is second claim Winchester, was 5th in his M50 60m heat and 7th in the long jump. Dave will be available to compete for WADAC in the Vets League starting at the end of April which is good news.
