    • An athletics club in Winchester known as Winchester Harriers closed down at the start of the Second World War and was replaced by Winchester Athletics Club in 1952 (but this too subsequently closed down). The present day athletics club known as WADAC was formed in 1976.

Weekly rankings update

Andrew Fisher

Head of Jumps and Multi-Events and Event Group Coach

Andy is a jumps and combined events coach and is our Head Coach for Jumps and Multi-Events.

His sport when competing was Rugby and his corporate background is in training and enablement. Andy has been coaching athletics for 12 years and in this time he has earned a reputation as an outstanding coach to young athletes helping to support some of them through to International honours.

Andy supports coaching young athletes in as many events as possible for as long as possible through learning fundamental skills and then developing these skills across run, jump and throw whilst making this fun and enjoyable.

He has coached young athletes accumulating over a hundred county and county schools medals across the full range of athletics events as well as coaching regional and national champions, England schools internationals and GB junior internationals.

Andy has recently left his corporate role and is coaching professionally making the Winchester track his base where he can be found coaching on club nights and at other times by request or design.
