The primary cross country competition that Winchester and District Athletics Club enters each year is The Hampshire Cross Country League. The meetings are open to all club athletes and there are often U11s races in addition to all the other usual age group races.

There are 5 league races between October and March, and we encourage all of our distance runners to take part:

• 9th November 2024 - Wellesbury Woodlands, Aldershot

• 12th October 2024 - Popham Airfield, Basingstoke

• 30th November 2023 Kings Park Bournemouth

• 11th January 2024 - Prospect Park, Reading

Entry is free to all club members

You must wear a club vest when competing

Let the Team Manager know if you plan on attending

Rules for U11 age group

Most of the events will hold a U11 race and the rules for such races are generally set by the local club organising the meeting. Usually, all years 4 and 5, 6 children can take part.
