About Senior Track & Field

WADAC is fortunate to be able to call the University of Winchester's Bar End stadium our home. This well maintained arena with 8 lane track and full throws and jumps facilities provides an ideal setting for athletes to develop their abilities in track & field athletics.

We welcome any seniors interested in training or coaching others for track and field events(middle distance, sprints, hurdles, jumps and throws).

Please contact our Andy Fisher (andy.fisher@wadac.org.uk). He will put you in contact with the relevant coach and arrange for you to attend your first training session.

Our usual training days for track and field are Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 18:30 to 20:00. Some training sessions may take place on Saturday mornings or at other times, as arranged by the coach.

Senior track and field athletes are invited to take part in the Southern Athletics League during the spring and summer months. There are also ample opportunities to compete at open competitions, county competitions and higher level competitions both indoors during the winter months and outdoors during the spring and summer.

If aged 35 years or over, then you will also be most welcome to take part in our Vets track and field league held on Monday evenings during the summer months. The Vets also have plenty of opportunity to compete at open competitions and at county, south of England and national level indoors during the winter months and outdoors during the spring and summer.
