Volunteering
If you would like to volunteer, we have opportunities for everyone.
Below are a list of some of the ways you can volunteer with WADAC.
Prizes for our Raffle
We have a raffle at the WADAC Awards each year and we are looking for people to donate prizes for our raffle. Last year our raffle raised £400 and all funds raised go directly back into the club, so if you have a service that you can offer or gift you can give then please get in touch.
Coaching and helping with coaching - no experience needed!!
We are always looking for helpers or those interested in being a coach to help with our junior groups. That includes endurance only groups, multi event groups or specialised groups like sprints, throws and jumps.
Who might be suitable?
Parents: You might be a parent who watches their child train, so why not help out in some way whilst that is happening.
Seniors and Vets: You might want to give something back before you train, by helping out in a junior group from 5.30 to 6.30 on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
Older school children (aged 14 and above): Why not can bolster your CVs or undertake Duke of Edinburgh experience within WADAC. Anyone is welcome to get involved in coaching or supporting the coaches.
If you are interested in helping with the junior groups please let me know. No commitment is needed to start with, just come and help out and see if you like it.
Officials
We are always looking for new officials to help at our matches over the summer. Officiating is a great way to put something back in and we will support you through the process. Officiating looks great on your CV and is open to anyone from the age of 16.
Fundraisers
Did you know that WADAC is a registered charity? We are always looking for people who have experience in or enjoy fundraising to help raise vital funds for the club. Perhaps you have a cause that is close to your heart and would like to organise a fundraiser that our members could take part in to raise money for that charity? Please contact Katie Kiely @ clubadmin@wadac.org.uk for further information.
Inclusion
We are passionate about making our club accessible to everyone. If you feel that there is a gap in the running groups that we offer and would like to start a new one, please get in touch and we can help you do this.
