Harestock Handicap - 3rd March 2016
There were 24 runners contesting the March Handicap including 3 event newbies (Allen Westoby, Danny Kyle and Colin McManus) and Chris Setters making his first appearance of 2016. Our winner on the night was Giles Male now up to speed after a relaxed "sector recce" to check out the course and fool the handicapper last month. Second home was Sarah Gurney, apparently yet another beneficiary of some relaxed handicapping, with Allen Westoby also home ahead of the crowd to take 3rd place. Behind those three we did manage a blanket finish with 13 runners home in an exciting 10 second rush. All in all 15 runners managed to meet or beat their handicaps.....those winter miles starting to pay off.
n
nFastest on the night was again James Moore with a 6'22 whilst behind him Danny Kyle ran 6'36 to enter the honours list at No.26 and Warren Jackson-Hookins ran a 6'58 to move up to No.50.
