RR10 Hursley - Thank you!
Thank you all for turning out and helping organise the Hursley RR10 yesterday. Particular thanks to Catherine Timson and Chris Setters. Everyone else was also brilliant and just seemed to know what to do. Set up was a hot job but we were grateful for the tree cover. Malcolm Price (RR10 chairman and 23 years involvement, who will be moving away from chair) and Alan Tulip got an extra special mention at the beginning from Rob over the megaphone. 2 runners were enjoying their 21st birthday, one of them, Rebecca Lord, from Stubbington won the ladies race and the ladies' overall title! 198 ladies and 227 men ran and the funnel ran like clockwork, thanks to the Harvey family, Alan Coveney and John Fuller.Cakes were a delight, thank you to all who brought. Amazing that some people could not be with us but sent cakes anyway! At the end of the season, our men's team has finished 3rd overall and our ladies' 4th so big Congratulations and roll on next season. In the meantime we can start looking forward to the CC6 season which begins on Sunday 18th September, 9.30am at Fleming Park.
