401 Marathon Challenge - WADAC hosts Ben Smith for his Marathon #394

Ben Smith is nearing the end of his fantastic 401 challenge - 401 marathons on 401 consecutive days. Ben is trying to raise awareness about bullying and raising money for two related charities Kidscape and Stonewall, more information about Ben and his challenge is available on the 401 challenge website.

nWADAC had the pleasure of hosting him for marathon #394 on 28th Sept. Over 40 runners joined in for some part of the run miles with Ben himself, Steve Goodwin, Jackie Ducker and 4 other visiting runners all completing the full 26.2 miles. We were blessed with great weather and a relatively flat route that started from the University, where Ben gave a talk about his life experiences and the background to this challenge, and continued down the High St. to take in many of the sights of the city and including of course a couple of laps of our track.
