Harestock Handicap for November

We had 21 runners out in their Hi-Viz kit for the November handicap including 2 event newbies - welcome to Jo Kitley and Susy Perry to this event. Our winner was Andrew Robinson making his customary return to form just in time for the Christmas relays and just pipping Louise Snook, herself returning to some good form, to lead home an exciting blanket finish with 11 runners in the sweet spot. Tonight's handicap results are here. Special mention for the handicapper finishing in a clear last place and proving that a cocktail of marathons, timezones and a 20 degree drop in temperature does eventually catch up with you.

nFastest on the night was Ian Debnam (6'06) with James Moore (6'13) and Joe Chick (6'16). These guys were a shade off their best times however and performance of the night was Colin McManus his 6'39 is a third PB in a row and moves him up to 33rd on the honours board. The current Top 50 is here.

nAt this time of year, with only one race to go, there is much attention on the overall standings where Adrian Field still has a narrow lead over Carrie Oliver but both are being challenged by the strongly finishing Colin McManus and of course James Moore is also still in the hunt. Hard to see a winner outside of those 4 but, importantly, there is also still one discard to go so it will go down to the number crunching after next months race. Ultimately the winner will be announced at the Christmas Special Pub of the Month event on 19th December.....if you want it first hand you have to be there.

nThe December Handicap will be held on Thursday 1st December, meet at the track 18.45 for a 19.00 social run out to the handicap loop. The more the merrier do come along and get into the mix as the more runners we have out there the less predictable it is for the tacticians !
