Sportshall Grand Prix & county selections

The first Sportshall Grand Prix event took place at Fareham Academy last week. These competitions provide excellent Sportshall experience outside of the Hampshire Sportshall League structure. Athletes have 1 Lap and 2 Lap races as well as Standing Long Jump, Standing Triple Jump, Speed Bounce & Soft Javelin Throw. Four WADAC athletes went along to Fareham and in the Under 13 boys they dominated with Doug Scally showing how much he has improved this season by winning the event overall with Iwan Wrey-Brown running him a close second. Sam Roberts was a consistent 5th position. In the Under 15 girls Sophie Torrance finished 6th position in a very competitive category.

nThe selection of the Under 11 Hampshire Sportshall team for the Regional Sportshall match in February has taken place and the following WADAC athletes have been selected-
