Travel Arrangements for Ryde 10

The Ryde 10 is on Sunday 5th February at 11 a.m. This is a lovely, scenic race, normally quite low key and where we can make up a lot of points on our road race rivals by a strong turnout.
nEvery year the club pays for WADAC members to take the ferry to the Isle of Wight for this one. I've already got your tickets and printed them out so you absolutely have to be at the Portsmouth Harbour Ferry Terminal at 8:45am ready for travel on the 9:15am.
nThese are the important arrangements to enable me to do that.
nMeeting Point and Time
nWe meet at Portsmouth Harbour Ferry Terminal (map below, postcode PO1 3PS). You can get there by car and there are plenty of car parks close by. Portsmouth Harbour also has a train station.
nEveryone should aim to be there by 8.45. The catamaran leaves at 9.15 and I will sort out tickets at 8.45 for those who have arrived. The ferry leaves only once an hour, so if you miss this one you will struggle to make the race, given it is a bit of a walk to the start from Ryde ferry terminal. I would also have no means of passing your ticket to you as I'll be on the 9.15.
nLocation of the start
nShould you take a different ferry to Ryde terminal, to get to the start walk along the esplanade to the shore turn left and stick to the coast road until you get to the Ryde Rowing Club. The start is a short walk away.
nLate entries
nThe race is full and there will be no entries on the day. Ryde Harriers has information on their website (www.rydeharriers.co.uk).
nReturn journeys
nYour ticket will be for the full return journey so don't leave it in your bag under your wet towel! The catamaran will leave at 47 minutes past each hour.
nAny questions let me know.Cheers,Saul.
