Results from the Hampshire XC Championships on 7th Jan

nWADAC was well represented in most age groups and whilst our senior ladies were again the stars of the show there were medal winning performances across the park.
nOur Snr ladies were led to team gold by Louise Damen who just lost out in a sprint finish for the individual gold after a fine display of front running. With strong supporting runs by Jo Meek (8th & Age Cat gold), Kathryn Bailey (11th) and Kate Towerton (12th) we had 4 in the top 12 and those coveted team golds. Topping that off we also collected the team golds for the Vets where our scorers were Jo Meek (2nd), Kath Bailey (4th), Sarah Shedden (13th) and Emma Carter (17th). Not to be outdone the evergreen Joy Radford picked up her own Age Cat Gold.
nHannah Knapton was always in charge of her race and is deservedly the u20 ladies champion.
nOur u17 women just missed out on a team medal as did the u13's but our u11 girls did us proud and got their team bronze.
nUnfortunately there are fewer medals to report from the men. Our stars were the u11's where James Lewis won the individual silver medal and led the boys to team gold. Showing good strength in depth we also had the team bronze and as many as 6 complete teams in this u11 age group. The u13's collected team silvers whilst the u17's just missed out on a team medal.
