Hampshire Sportshall League Match 3
The third Hampshire Sportshall League match took place at the Mountbatten Centre Portsmouth on Sunday 29th Jan. WADAC athletes did excellently in all the team categories. The Under 11 girls again dominated winning the team event and remain on top of their League with one match to go. There was a record number of 90 U11G participating, WADAC's best performances were Emma Shedden 2nd and Beth Thorpe 3rd with Emma running the best times in both 1 & 3 Lap races. Beth is 1st overall in the individual aggregates. The other team scorers were Jasmine Jones 12th and Jemima Sullivan 14th who did brilliantly in her very first competition.Other WADAC Grace Cahill 15th Isobel Hollick 16th Grace Weeks 21st Annabella Marsh 30th Emily Hoad 50th Jasmine Farrand 60th Talya Wright 62nd Lucy Smith 67th
nBilly Brackley was a superb 3rd place with the best 3 Lap and Hi Stepper performances. He was supported by Euan Holm 8th Sam Mballa 10th Stan Parkinson 19th for the team to place 3rd behind New Forest and Portsmouth. Oliver Sandercock 31st and Alex Nicholson completed the U11B. Both the U11G and U11B relay teams won their races.
nIn the Under 13 girls Grace White was 3rd and Freya Brannigan 4th with Freya having fastest 2 Lap and 4 Lap times, both performing really well. Katie Nicholson was 23rd and Isabella Steven 30th to complete the team in 2nd place which was there best placing of the season so far and are equal 2nd overall. Charlotte Rankine was 31st.
n Doug Scally 2nd and Iwan Wrey- Brown 3rd continued their fine seasons in the Under 13 Boys category . With 6th Sam Roberts and Ted Culley 22nd the team again won and remain on course to win the league.
nIn the individual Under 15 Girls event Serena Charles 3rd Alina Eichhorst 4th and Sophie Torrance 7th were WADACs representatives with Serena having the best 4 Lap time and Sophie the best Speed Bounce score.
nThe final League match which is a medal event will at Portsmouth on March 12th.
