Wessex League Sign-up - 2 July at Oxford

The
nthird Wessex League match of 2017 is at Oxford and will take place on Sunday 2
nJuly. The first two home matches were very successful with WADAC winning both
nbut we need plenty of people to sign up to help continue our winning ways! The
nWessex League provides a great opportunity for young athletes to compete for

nWho can compete?
n
n
nThe
ncompetition is open to all Under 13s (Years 6 and 7), Under 15s (Years 8 and
n9), Under 17s (Years 10 and 11) and Under 20s (age at 31st August 2017). Note,
nthere is a separate QuadKids competition for Under 11s.
n
n
nWe
ncan enter 2 scoring athletes for each event (in each age category) and in the
ntrack events there is the ability to enter additional athletes as non-scorers
n(up to 5 non-scorers per age group, per event). There is a maximum of 2
nathletes plus one non-scorer per field event (in each age category).
n
n
nIf
nnecessary, we will give priority to those that signed up for the YDL matches
nbut failed to make selection and those that weren’t able to do their preferred
nevents at previous Wessex League matches. Please note that there are already
nlong waiting lists for a couple of events, such as long jump, so we may not be
nable to offer you a place in one of these events.

nmust wear your WADAC vest in order to compete.

nWhich events can I
ncompete in?

ncan compete in a maximum of 3 events plus a relay.

nEvents
ninclude: sprints, sprint hurdles, middle distance, relays, long jump, high
njump, shot, javelin and discus.

nwanting to run middle distance can compete in either the 800m or 1500m NOT
nboth.
