Welsh Castles - Bringing back the Dragon

More Welsh Castles news to follow but some breaking news that WADAC have won the Dragon Challenge at the Welsh Castles. Congratulations to Team Managers Sam and Andy Parkinson for pulling us together to deliver a successful and fun-filled weekend.
nThe Dragon Challenge is a little inter-club "race within a race" between ourselves and Lliswerry Runners from Newport. It is the first time we have been invited to compete in this and we much enjoyed the added frisson of spice and competitive rivalry within the whole Castles event - and of course it is nice to win!
nIn the main event we're very proud to have again had a stage winner this year - Simon Stevens 5th overall and the winning Vet on Leg 17.
nOther notables were:Sam Aplin 2nd lady up the challenging Drovers climb that is Leg 14 Dan Cunnington with a Top 20 finish on the Leg 11 mountain stageHelen Oliver supporting WADAC but running Leg 10 for Les Croupiers and thus being part of their event winning ladies team.
nSpecial thanks also to our many supporters and family members who came along to help and to cheer us on....without you it would not be the event that it is.
nIf you'd like to get involved with the Welsh Castles in 2018 let Andy Parkinson know and put the dates into your diaries......9th and 10th June 2018....it works best if you can take the 8th June off too to allow travelling time.
