RR10 Race 7 - Whiteley - Results

Thank you all you wonderful people that turned out to run a glorious RR10 last night at Whiteley. WADAC enjoyed having 15 men and 12 ladies running.
nThe ladies team finished 1st but are still in 4th position overall, due to Stubbington organising and Lordshill dropping out. The men’s team finished 7th and are now 11th overall.
nIt was a lovely warm evening with lots of dappled sun streaming through onto the woodland tracks. Surprising that the countryside can be so heavenly only a 10 minute walk from the hub that is Whiteley shopping centre. The route was hilly, full of roots, wet in places and a fab mile downhill to the finish.
nReally special having Louise Damen who was the first lady finisher and Jo Meek who was third lady running for the RR10’s, hope to see you again and again ladies. Our ladies team comprised of Louise, Jo and Susy Perry (6th, even in road shoes!). 2nd WADAC ladies team was Sam Parkinson who was snapping at Susy’s heals (7th), Charlie Hoskins (13th) and a massive welcome back to Caroline Carr who stormed into 22nd position.
nPete Sansome brought it home for the men again, finishing 9th overall, the men’s team also included Andy Parkinson (34th), Colin McManus (38th), Simon Williamson (61st) and Stephen Lowy (63rd).
nRace 8 is next Wednesday, the 19th July at Janesmoor Pond, 7.30pm. Please come and run and help WADAC to climb the league tables.
nI picked up a blue Mitre water bottle that was left behind, please let me know if it is yours.
nThanks.
