Wessex XC League
WADAC athletes participated in the second Wessex Cross Country League match at Bryanston School near Blandford Forum, with competitors in races from Under 11 age group up to Veteran Categories.
nIn the Under 11 boys race over 1.8k James Lewis again dominated the race to win his second Wessex league race. Running superbly he covered the distance in a rapid 6m.20. James was backed up y Michael Whitaker in 7th, with Jacob Hutchings 20th and Haydn Moore 21st. WADAC are currently 2nd in this age group behind New Forest Juniors. Also competing for WADAC in the U11B race were : Ewan Johns 24th ; Caspar Wilson 25th ; Jake Chapman 26th : Bradley Lewis 27th : Joshua Cox 28th : Ethan Skipwith 29th,: William Graydon 33rd : Thomas Hampson 35th : Freddie Reid 40th ; Ivor Stannah 41st : Elliott Gurney 44th ; George Moore 45th : Oscar Robertson 47th ; Leon Wells 48th.

nFantastic team packing led to victory for the WADAC Under 13 girls, which leaves them equal first overall. Continuing her improvement every race is Millie Burgess with a splendid 3rd place , with team-mates Amelia Moore 7th , Ellie McErlean 8th and Clemmie Rydon 9th shoe=wing WADAC dominance in this race. .Other WADAC- Jasmine Jones 11th, Emma Shedden 20th, Izzy Stout 31st and Evie West 32nd.

nAfter her first place in the opening match Sasha Tydeman ran really well again for 2nd place in the Under 15 girls race and with Hannah Foster 6th and Aisling Dunne 10th supporting very well, the team won and is equal first overall.

nThe leading WADAC girl in the Under 11 girls race was again Safiya Hussain in 8th place. Coming in next for WADAC were Rebecca Hutchings 13th and Poppy Taylor 14th. The A team is now 3rd overall and the B team 4th. Also running for WADAC in the U11G race were- Zara Barker 20th Layla Stannah 21st ; Lauren Richards 24th ; Amy Porter 25th : Maisie Curtis 25th ; Julia Kozvenikova 29th : Ella Stout 31st : Bess Carter 32nd Lucy Thomson 34th ; Ella Ramage 35th Tamara Haq 39th Isobel Jordan 42nd ; Kate Derbyshire 43rd Ella Hunter 44th.

nThe Under 13 boys lay 2nd in their team category and the best placed U13B was Charlie Cox having a fine run in 5th position, also running was Ben Hutchings 11th and Joshua Ford 20th.

nThere was a much better turn out for WADAC than usual in the Senior/Vet mens 8.6k race. Having a purple patch at the moment is Pete Sansome and he continued his good form with 8th position, which was good enough for 2nd Vet. Next in was Wayne Bevan 9th and making up the A team was Stephen Moore in 20th (1st VM 45). Simon Harvey 29th, Steve Goodwin 37th, Robert Porter 38th were the other WADAC performers. The Senior mens team is 9th and the Vets 5th.

nIn the Senior/Vets womens race over 5.3k, Emma Carter had a steady run finishing in 10th place for 2nd Vet position. Gill Goodwin finished 25th.

nThere are two more matches left in this seasons League campaign.
