Dibden Purlieu CC6 results

The third CC6 race in the series proved to be the most popular one so far this season with a record attendees from all clubs. Winchester women continued to impress with a solid performance. Our team came third on the day, led by Kath Bailey (3rd) the leading V40, who must now be one of the contenders for the overall individual ladies position. Charlie Hoskins 14th and Caroline Carr (25th) completed the team. Isla Allan 26th, Emma Carter 31st, Lynne Allan 56th and Madeline Vosser 66th also provided sterling performances in a competitive field. This places us 2nd ladies team overall so far in the season, with Lordshill, last year's team winners close behind in 3rd place.
nThe men came 9th on the day, with David Vosser leading us in 28th (and 3rd V50), Steve Oliver 40th, Peat Allan 41st (completing an Allan triplet) and the unmistakable Colin McManus 43rd completing the men's team. Martyn West came in 47th (and leading V60 again), followed by Adrian Haughton 63rd, Stephen Lowy 65th, Lutz Preuss 104th, Peter Watts 113th and Rick Munro 126th. This keeps the men's team in mid table respectability.
nSpecial mention should go to Colin, Peter, Martyn and Kath who have attended all 3 races so far, with the latter two firm favourites to win their individual age categories for the season (best 4 results count for individuals).
nNext race is on the 10th December at Janesmoor Pond, featuring Santa's Grotto! Ho Ho Ho
