Hampshire Sportshall League Match 3

The third Hampshire Sportshall League match took place at the Mountbatten Centre Portsmouth. Winchester & District Athletic Club (WADAC) young athletes took part but in depleted numbers due to injuries, including a Lacrosse stick to the head, thankfully with no lasting damage, and also victim to the recent bout of illnesses. However the WADAC under 11 boys were undeterred and won their team event for the first time this season and are 2nd overall with one match remaining. The U11B victory was set up magnificently by the fact that Oscar Webb won the individual event and team-mate Stan Parkinson was 2nd overall. Oscar was a clear winner of the Standing Long Jump with a leap of 2.02m, and there is much more to come from him in this event. Oscar also threw a huge 7.75m in the Chest Push to win that event. Stan went like a rocket in the 1 Lap race to give him the fastest time of the day of 12.1 and was also 2nd fastest in the 3 Lap race.
