Long jump pit under threat from the new leisure centre
On the general arrangement drawings, they have put one of the long jump pits (near to clubhouse) under threat. It could be removed to make way for a road.
nThis is new to me and has never been mentioned in any consultation.
nIt is essental that ALL WADAC members object to this as Members of the Public and as Residential Amenity, as without a long list of objections it could give the architects a free hand.
nThere are three other objections that are worth making too, but the main objections include the above and:
n1. The East facade of the Sports Hall will be glazed up to 4m in height.
n2. The use of rebound boards inside the sports hall on two sides instead of true walls.
n3. The size of the hall only being 8-court rather than 12. No spectator provision.
nThere is a planning consultation and exhibition being held next week in the Guildhall, Wintonian Room:
nMonday 25, 4-8pm
nThursday 28, 3-8pm
nFriday 29 June 10am - 1pm
