Monday Strength & Conditioning

Strength and conditioning work is an essential addition to your running sessions to:
nimprove performanceimprove response to trainingreduce injury risk
nEach session will contain a range of activities. Strength work will be done using body weight, resistance bands and plyometric type exercises targeting upper/lower body and core. Conditioning work will incorporate running technique drills, stretching and exercises to develop the balance and coordination required in running.
nAll equipment will be provided, just bring water, perhaps a towel (can get a bit sweaty) and wear something comfortable to exercise in. Sessions are exclusive to WADAC members and suitable for all ages and levels of ability/strength. Whilst it will be more beneficial to commit to attending each week I am more happy for people to 'drop in'. The charge helps cover cost of facility hire, insurance and equipment.
nJust for your reassurance I am a level 3 PT and have relevant insurance!
nPlease feel free to ask me any questions at training or email me at sandc@wadac.org.uk
