Results from CC6 @ Fleming Park
The First CC6 cross country race brought 18 men and 12 women of Winchester out to Fleming Park last Sunday for the 4 mile off road course. A good turn out was matched with some excellent performances. An unseasonably hard (and dry) surface gave it a RR10 feel. The women's team were victorious. Susy Perry was the first women on the day, while Helen Oliver came second (the commute from Wales obviously works), Sam Parkinson completed the women's team in 5th, Jane Gandee 6th (and top V50), Emma Carter 9th, Caroline Carr 11th, Jo Clarke 17th, Liz Marshall 19th, Rosie Upton 22nd, Joy Radford 35th and top V60, Louise Snook 41st and Gill Goodwin 73rd.
nThe men's team were only just pipped by Southampton AC into second. Wayne Bevan coming 5th and top V40, Julian Mann 6th, Alex Whiting 17th, Andy Parkinson 19th, making up the men's team. Steve Oliver 29th, Simon Tarrant 31st, Chris Setters 35th, Rob Bryan 40th, Saul Duck 44th, Peat Allen 45th, Colin McManus 47th, Stephen Lowy 53rd, Paul Neville 58th, Steve Goodwin 64th, Mark Craven 65th, Steve Cluett 68th, Rick Munro 76th and Pete Watts 96th. Well done everyone.
nThe next race is on the 7th October at Whitely, 9.30 Sunday morning. Not sure what you're missing? Come along, its free and fun.
