Hampshire Cross Country League, Kings Park Bournemouth
FANTASTIC turn out for both men and ladies teams to the first, rather hot, match of the season.Ladies lead the way , in more ways than one. In a very strong field, 20 ladies from WADAC did the club proud. Vet team came 1st (Tamsin Simmonds 1st, Kath Bailey 7th and Kate Towerton 8th) and narrowly by 1 point Senior Ladies team came 2nd (Lorna Russell 2nd, Annabel Gummow 6th and Melanie Wilkins 8th). Grace Mann came a brilliant 4th for U20.
nNext it was the mens turn, in a very fast and competitive race the 12 men put in a strong performance. Vet Team came 2nd (Richard Bidgood 8th, Julian Mann 9th and Nick Anderson 11th) and Senior Men came 6th (George King 22nd, Richard Parr 53, Guy Brayn 57, Richard Bidgood 63, Julian Mann 64 and Nick Anderson 68) .
nIt was a brilliant day for racing and supporting fellow team members with record numbers of WADAC athletes – Lets keep it up! On that note......
nNEXT RACE 10TH NOVEMBER ALDERSHOT and you never know if we are lucky there may be some mud!
