WESSEX LEAGUE CROSS COUNTRY – RACE 4 – BRYANSTON SCHOOL, BLANDFORD - RESULTS

nAt the final Wessex League Cross Country race of the season, WADAC fielded an incredible 30 out of 54 entrants in the U11 Boys race. Building on his recent Hampshire Cross Country victory, William Hasan ran confidently to take 1st place. He was followed closely by Michael Whitaker 4th and Ethan Skipwith 10th
nIn the U11 Girls, 10 out 42 entrants were wearing the WADAC black and gold. Poppy Taylor was the first WADAC girl home in 6th, closely followed by Rebecca Hutchings in 7th. In both Under 11s races, as well as the large number of WADAC athletes, it was great to see so many athletes, competing for WADAC for the first time.

nIn the U13 races, our number of athletes was more modest, but no less enthusiastic. Our sole entrant in the U13 Boys race was Will Atkins who had a good race in 13th. In the U13 Girls, finishers were: Zara Barker 16th, Safiya Husain 19th, Maisie Curtis 35th and Kano Anderson 38th.

nI wasn’t able to persuade any parents to hang around for the adult races. That was probably a wise choice as there was driving rain by the time the men started. Just for the record, I finished a soggy 31st.
nOver the course of the 4 race season, special mention must go to the 3 athletes who ran in every race; Casper Wilson, Poppy Taylor and Ella Ramage.
nTo qualify for the final individual race league for the season, you needed to run 3 times. The following WADAC athletes qualified for the final league tables.

nUnder 11 Boys: Casper Wilson 4th, Ethan Skipwith 8th, Bradley Lewis 10th, Seth Noott 12th, Joshua Smith 17th, Archie Sleeth 22nd and Oscar Robertson 24th.
