CC6 Kings Garn Gutter
The 6th race of the CC6 series is nearly upon us. The race is located at Kings Garn Gutter Inclosure by Stoney Cross. As always all club members 15 and over are welcome, its free just bring your club vest and some trail shoes. Its just under 5 miles long of undulating paths and trails.
nThe course is currently in good condition with some wet slippery muddy sections. There is a slight route change this year at the request of the Forestry Commission where the route to the finish is via the start area then up the concrete / gravel path to the finish area.
nParking near the race venue is in three areas known at Janesmore Pond, Stoney Cross Plain and Stoney Cross. Access the race area via a walk through the Longbeech campsite. Please make sue you avoid parking on any of the road verges or in the public lay-by areas and do not park on Longbeech road as this is for emergency vehicles access. Or even better why not car share and reduce local congestion.
nThe race start area is a 10-15 mins walk from the parking areas and race start will be at 0930 prompt. Prior to race runners can meet up at the finish area location, there is then a further 5 mins walk to the start area. The start will commence strictly at 0930.Directions: Leave the M27 at Junction 1 and head towards Brook on the B3079 Turn left onto the B3078 after the pubs, direction Godshill Turn left after 1.5 miles for Fritham Pass Janesmoor Pond and Longbeech campsite on the left, and park at one of the three dedicated car parks, marshals will be in attendance
