nThe third indoor Hampshire Sportshall League match of the season took place at the new venue of Hart Leisure Centre near Fleet. Teams from Winchester & District (WADAC) , Southampton, Portsmouth, New Forest, Aldershot & Farnham, Andover & Overton and Havant take part in team and individual competitions with running, throwing, jumping and agility disciplines covered.

nIn the Under 11 boys Sam Nicholson continued his fine Sportshall season with a 4th place in the individual scoring and he is 2nd in the individual aggregates with one match remaining. Sam had the equal best Standing Long Jump with an impressive leap of 2.06m, he also had the longest Chest Push distance of 6.25m. Sam speed bounced to equal 2nd with 50 efforts in 20 seconds. The next WADAC athlete was Daniel Harrison in 9th position, he had a very rapid 1 Lap time of 12.8 for equal 2nd best time of the day. The third scorer was Mackenzie Paterson in his first ever Sportshall competition and he finished 12th out of the 45 boys competing, completing the scoring team was Lucas Steel in 15th. The team were second behind Southampton and are also 2nd overall in the team standings. The other U11B WADAC performers were Dougie Hide 22nd, which included a fine Chest Push of 6.00m, Oscar Baker 38th, Benno Thomas-Machleidt 41st and Cameron Baker 42nd.

nThe sister act of Elsa and Orla Edgecombe were the best positioned WADAC athletes in the Under 11 girls category. In a field of 60 competitors, Elsa was 19th with her best event being a Chest Push of 5.75m for equal best throw of the day. Younger sister Orla was 21st which included a 3 Lap run of 44.6 for 16th fastest run of the day. The WADAC scoring team was completed by Bethany Mballa 37th and new girl Ava Le Tissier 38th. The team was 7th overall in a very competitive team event. The other WADAC U11G performers were Claudia Smith 42nd, Cecily Farrand 43rd, Grace Beckett 48th, Emily Thomas-Machleidt 50th Polly Newman 51st Amelie De Liberali 53rd and Alice Ngwata 54th.

nThe Under 13 boys even saw only two WADAC athletes available with Oscar Webb again competing very well finishing 2nd on the day which gives him 4th in the individual aggregates with one match to go. Oscar produced a huge Standing Triple Jump of 6.94m which was the longest jump of the day. Oscar also won the Standing Long Jump with 2/14m and a shot victory with 7.44m which was a metre further than his next competitor. Team-mate Stan Parkinson was 6th on the day and had the best speed bounce amount of 76 in 30 seconds. Both Oscar and Stan have been selected for the Hampshire Sportshall team competing at the South East Regional Championships in March.

nGrace Weeks produced a storming run in the Under 13 girls 2 Lap race to have the 3rd fastest time of the day of 25.6 sec. This gave Grace 8th position on the day with team-mate Annabella Marsh also making the top 10, including a useful Standing Triple Jump of 5.61m. The WADAC scoring team was made up by Elisa De Liberali 1th and debutant Isabell Steel in 19th. Other WADAC U13G competing were Jasmine Farrand 22nd Talya Wright 23rd and Lucy Smith 25th.

nThe final league match of the season which will decide team and individual trophies will in Havant in March.
