British Athletics Championships Invitation for Maddie Turner (Coach: John Miller - Winchester and District)

Maddie Turner has been invited by British Athletics to compete at the Müller British Athletics Championships at Alexander Stadium, Birmingham on 24th and 25th August 2019 for Senior 400m Hurdles.
nMaddie’s Headteacher, Jane Gandee of St Swithun’s said on receiving the news that:
n‘No athlete is born with a gold medal round their neck. When they achieve success it is as a result of years of hard work and determination. Maddie epitomises this. I remember coaching her as a committed 10 year old at WADAC and hoping very much that she would decide to come to St Swithun’s. She did, and she has gone on to excel in a range of different areas and to set a fine example to others through her many contributions to school life.’
n Maddie along with her training partner Ellie Livingstone will be competing for Hampshire Schools in the English Schools Championships this weekend - July 12-13th at 400m hurdles.
