Hampshire XC League - WADAC ladies off to a great start!

We had an amazing turn out for the first race in the Hampshire XC League and some fantastic results from all the ladies - U20, Senior and Vets at Hampshire Cross country league. Bournemouth treated us to some proper cross country weather this year with mud and lots of rain but that did not put the ladies off. We had a great turn out of 19 in a strong field of 190. Helen Hall had a fantastic run leading Winchester in, in 3rd, closely followed by Lucy Elliot in 8th (2nd Vet) and Tamsin Anderson was our 3rd scorer caught in a sprint battle to take 13th (3rd Vet). This secured us a very competitive team 2nd place behind a strong team from Reading. Our Vets team had a convincing win – with Lucy 2nd, Tamsin 3rd and Sam Parkinson 6th . Excitingly this year we also have an Under 20's team who all had brilliant runs and came in 2nd with Alice Calder 9th, Emelia Montagu-Scott 13th and Poppy Clements 16th. Next Event is ours at Sparsholt on 9th Nov – bring on the mud!
