CC6 Dibden race
The third CC6 race last Sunday morning proved to be sunny and brought improving performances from our Winchester competitors. The 4.7 miles of undulating trail and gravel tracks in wet and muddy conditions tested our athletes. Remember the course is not suitable for spikes so it was trail shoes only! 25 club runners attended, enabling us to score third for men's and women's teams. Bringing us up to second so far in the women's rankings in the league to date and third for the men (for those teams who have competed in all 3 races in the series).
nThe women's team were led in by debutante Emilia Scott 6th, followed by Karen Rushton 7th and Emma Carter 16th. Fine contributions came from Janet Littlewood 39th, Caroline Carr 42nd (showing true commitment), Louise Snook 56th and Carrie Oliver 72nd.

nThe men came up with their strongest result to date with the team of four with redoubtable Guy Brayn 6th, another recent CC6er newbie Archie Ives 7th, Tom Oliver 9th and Will Hadley 33rd. A really good turnout for the men came from Si Gillett 37th, Andy Costello 46th, Colin McManus 69th, Dean Rawlins 71st, Steve Oliver 75th (completing a trio of Olivers!), Saul Duck 84th, Stephen Lowy 89th, Peat Allen 90th, Martyn West 91st, Kevin Frisby 135th, Rick Munro 142nd, Adrian Haughton 157th and Pete Watts 182nd.

nWell done everyone, and we will do it all again on the 8th December at Janesmoor Pond.
