Kanya Mtshweni put in a terrific performance in equalling his pb to finish 7th in the 60m hurdles final at the British Universities & Colleges Sport indoor athletics championships in Sheffield yesterday. Ranked 12th coming into the championships, Kanya finished 4th in heat 2 of 3 and took the 2nd of the fastest losers spots to qualify the final. After the drama of a disqualification and a re-run race, Kanya who was competing for Cardiff Met university equalled his pb of 8.63 to finish 7th in the final. I have helped out with club IT for several years inlcluding setting up the club’s Microsoft 365 for email, Teams etc and web site migraiton. Occasional parkrun run director, still enjoying my running though never got anywhere near a podium!
