Neville Semple

We regret to advise of the death of Neville Semple, who for many years provided support to David Vosser' training group. Neville became a Coaching assistant after bringing his grandson along to the club. He enjoyed attending so much that he soon volunteered to help and took his Assistant Coaching Certificate in 2008. He also managed all of the Club’s records for a number of years. This led to him winning our Volunteer of the Year Award.
nNeville was very popular amongst all of the athletes in the group and well known for doing things right, from timing sessions, marking out an exact 400 metre loop on the grass to looking after the cones and lights. He was an ever present on Tuesday and Thursday nights ensuring everything was ready for the athletes and would also attend Saturday Farley Mount sessions in all weathers through the winter.
nHe was a lovely man who added great value to the training sessions leaving wonderful memories for those athletes who came into contact with him during his time at the club.
