End of season track & field rankings

Whilst it is clearly a case of what might have been for the Spring & Summer track & field season there were nevertheless some impressive performances from those that did get the change to compete in the 3 months August through October. The attached final rankings show every WADAC performance in track & field throughout the outdoor season and there are many highlights worth mentioning including no fewer than 9 female performances that make the UK age group top 10. Top of the pile is Moira West who is the quickest 200m septuagenarian in the UK and the clubs marvellous Masters section includes top 10 performances from Moira again in the 100m as well as Kathryn Miles in the 100m & 200m and Sue True in the 1500m. Liv Busher broke the clubs U17 womens javelin record at the end of August and ends the season at 4th in the UK with another year in the age group to go and Lara Scott-Rule ended her time as an U17 women with a top 10 high jump ranking following winning the high jump fest in Bournemouth in September. The clubs throwers continue to make fantastic progress with two further top 10 rankings for Erin McBriar in the U15 girls Hammer and younger sister Abi in the U13 girls discus. For the fella's I am going to start with another Masters legend in Dave Vosser who makes up 2 of the 5 performances that make the UK top 10. Dave broke V60 club records in 800m, 1500m & 3000m the first two performances of which earn him top 10 age group rankings. Performance of the season may well go to Harry Crosby who won the covid games in August with a mightly leap of 6.96m to go 4th in the UK and break the clubs U17 record and also go 3rd on the all time club list of senior men. Harry's winning leap that day was 7.20m but was too windy for record purposes. Vying for that tag of top performance was Charlie Elford's pond throw of 46.30m to break the club record with the 4kg hammer and also go 4th in the UK rankings. The last of the top 10 performances was achieved by Sam Nicholson who threw 31.17m with the 400g javelin to go 7th in the UK.Other record breaking highlights include Doug Scally going under 2 mins for the first time in the U17 mens 800m and the UK age group top 20 has been achieved by Jess Gordon, Beth Mballa, Oliver Thatcher, Ethan Imhofe, Alex Miles, Sam Clifton & Steve Torrance.Full seasons rankings shown below.Wadac Track Field Womens Rankings 2020Wadac Track Field Mens Rankings 2020 Xls
