Charlie improves his 5kg hammer best

Charlie Elford Pond (coach Martin McBriar) yesterday put 18cm on his 5kg hammer pb to improve his distance for 2nd place on the clubs all time U17 mens Hammer list.Competing in the Yeovil spring field festival, Charlie threw 38.78m for 3rd place amongst the U17 men.Also competing was heptathlete Grace Colmer (coach Andy Fisher) who improved her pb to 5.26m allbeit with an illegal following wind and Grace is closing in on an english schools entry standard of 5.40m.
