Harry goes 2nd on all time hurdles list

Multi-eventers Harry Crosby (coach Andy Fisher) and Oliver Thatcher (coach Andy Fisher) made the trip up to Birmingham on Wednesday evening to take part in the Birmingham University track & field series. This licence level 2 event series is popular with U20 athletes and was streamed live on youtube throughout the evening. Both Harry & Ollie entered the 3 event competition comprising hurdles, long jump & javelin but unfortunately Ollie tweaked a muscle in warm up and took the wise decision not to compete. Harry took his place on the start line and ran a nice time of 15.38 in his first race over the 110m distance and 99cm barriers to go 2nd in the clubs all-time U20 hurdles rankings just ahead of training partner Ollie.Harry followed this with a 6.75m effort in the long jump, the best of all the multi-eventers taking part and rounded off his evening with his first competitive throw with the 800g spear throwing 34m and bits.
