Abi takes county title

The first county champs of any sort since the Hampshire schools cross country champs in January 2020 took place on Wednesday as the Hampshire schools and Hampshire athletics U15 combined event champs took place at Down Grange in Basingstoke. The young athletes were representing both their schools and their clubs and 6 young athletes from WADAC took part on the day all performing superbly.Abi Belward (coach Andy Fisher) won the girls title with an impressive points total of 2793 which is good enough for 3rd place on the clubs all time list. Carys Jeffries (coach Andy Fisher) was 5th, Lois Moore (coach Andy Fisher) in 8th and Pippa Sproul (coach Andy Fisher) in 11th. This was the first junior girls combined events title for the club since Tallulah Jeffes won in 2015.In a great day for WADAC, Ruben Price (coach Nick Anderson) took 2nd place in the boys event with a points total of 1861 also good enough for 3rd place on the clubs all time list.
