Quadkids in action at first Wessex league match
What a tremendous day!
nSeason started with a bang with a new club record along with two new third best club performances.
nThe first Wessex League match of the season took place on 6th June in Aldershot, this being the first league match for nearly 2 years and it gave all the athletes their first taste of competitive action.
nThe day went amazing well and I was absolutely delighted to see the amazing team spirit.
nAll the athletes performed superbly well, clearly enjoying themselves throughout the day and supporting each other with words of encouragement and the loudest of cheers as they ran their 600m races.
nMoving onto the performances, the team scored a massive 1704 points putting WADAC top the table by over 100 points. This was an absolute credit to the whole team. Every athlete performed amazing well, giving 100% and numerous individual PBs were achieved.
nI am delighted to make special mention to the following athletes: Lexie Divers, a massive 3.8m long jump, breaking the club's U11 record; Felix Sclater, equal 3rd best U11 performance in the 600m of 1:53 (equalling his PB set only a few days earlier at the club's open); 3rd highest point girls team score, 824 - Lexie, Alissa, Ava and Amber.
nOnce again a massive thank you to Steve, all the parent helpers on the day along with the whole team for not only enjoying themselves but performing amazing well.
