WADAC success at Eastleigh 10k
WADAC endurance athletes are making the most of the return of real racing with strong performances in the Race to the King, the South Downs Relay and the various local RR10 races.
nThe return of the Eastleigh 10k on 1st August was a particular treat and a scramble for race numbers as places had been deferred and rolled over from nearly 2 years ago. Around 30 athletes from WADAC managed to get a place and took home lots of good results with PB's and prizes aplenty.
nGreat victories for our senior men’s (sparked off by a 2minute PB and 4th overall for Will Boutwood) and senior women’s teams and first place also for our female vets team. Our male vets team were 4th so we only narrowly missed a clean sweep!
nThese results show the benefits of our dedication to training and remaining competitive through the various lockdowns and bodes well for the forthcoming HRRL road race league season. The key to success in the HRRL often lies in getting a race place (these races fill up quickly) so athletes are encouraged to plan ahead and enter early.
