U15 records updated
As I work my way down the age groups, the U15 records have now been updated on the website. For the U15 boys there were two new top 3 performances in 2021. Oscar Webb (coach Tony Bateman) broke the clubs high jump record with a jump of 1.85m at a LAG YDL match in Bournmeouth in July, a performance good enough to rank him 3rd in the UK. Ruben Price (coach Nick Anderson) went 3rd on the all time pentathlon list with his performance at the Hampshire schools combined event champs. The U15 girls has been an outstanding age group this year with so many strong performances. Arabella Wilson (coach Andy Fisher) tops the list breaking no fewer than 7 club records and going 2nd on the all time list in a further two. Her new club records are in 100m, 300m, long jump, shot putt and pentathlon as well as breaking the 4 x 100m & 4 x 300m records the former with Grace Weeks (coach Gary Bettridge), Carys Jeffries & Abi Belward (both coached by Andy Fisher) and the latter with Carys, Abi & Frankie Moulds (coach Andy Fisher). Bella also goes 2nd on the all time 200m and sprint hurdles lists. Grace also added the sprint hurdles record to her 4 x 100m record, her hurdles time placing her in the UK top 15. As well as her two new relay records, Abi added top 3 all time performances in 3 further events the shot putt, javelin and long jump. Tabitha Williamson (coach Andy Fisher) went 3rd in the clubs all time 100m lists with her performance at the Wessex league match in September. The throwers contributed a significant number of record breaking performances with Rosa-May Sprake (coach Gary Sprake) breaking the clubs discus record with her throw of 31.30m at the LAG YDL match in Portsmouth in September. Erin McBriar (coach Martin McBriar) wasn't far behind her going 2nd in the clubs all time list in the same event. Casey Callear (coach Martin McBriar) went 2nd on the clubs all-time hammer list with her performance at the County Championships in August.
