WADAC hosts track & field events

WADAC along with our partners at the University of Winchester site team hosted the track & field events for the Paralympic personal bests event organised by Winchester City Council on Thursday.The event featured 6 sports across 2 sites using the new Winchester leisure centre as well as the Sports Stadium.The sport of track & field comprised running, jumping and throwing activities and was hosted on a voluntary basis by WADAC members David Howells (running) and Andy Fisher (jumping and throwing).Over 150 children and adults with additional needs along with their carers attended the event which was overseen by GB wheelchair tennis star Lucy Shuker.The day was a tremendous success helped by the lovely weather and enthusiasm of the particpants with WADAC keen to promote membership for any para athletes wanting to give athletics a try.More details of the event can be seen through the link below.https://www.winchester.gov.uk/...
