Grace makes promising U20 debut

Multi-eventer Grace Colmer (coach Andy Fisher) made her first appearance with the senior specifications as she took part in the 3 event challenge in the warm surroundings of the high performance athletics centre at Loughborough University on Saturday.Grace was up against the very best multi-eventers in the country competing in long jump, hurdles and shot putt the latter two at senior specifications of 84cm & 4kg respectively for the very first time. Grace was disappointed with a long jump of 5.08m but more than made up for this with a time of 9.16 secs in the 60m hurdles good enough to go 2nd on the clubs all time indoor list and then repeated that feat with a putt of 9.50m in the shot putt. This acts as good preperation for Grace for the national indoor U20 combined events champs which takes place in Sheffield on the 8th & 9th January.
