Indoor track & field season underway

After taking the traditional competition break in October and November, track & field is back in the shape of indoor competition which resumes this weekend.Oliver Thatcher (coach Andy Fisher) began his collegiate competitive journey with a points score of 4847 in the heptathlon in the Bast-Cregger Invitational meet in Salem, Virginia over the last two days. This was Oliver's first outing with senior specifications and saw him go 2nd on the clubs all time indoor list. This included a 1.94m high jump breaking the clubs indoor record.Back in the UK, lots of WADAC athletes are in action later today at the Lee Valley open meeting many trying their new track & field age group specifications for the first time.
