Sportshall success in Hampshire league match 2
Sportshall is a great introduction to club athletics for our youngest members and the 2nd round of Hampshire sportshall league matches took places at Places Leisure in Eastleigh on Sunday. We had a strong team of 9 girls and 10 boys in the youngest age group the U11's and they did not disappoint taking the team event in both. For the girls, Lexie Divers was 2nd, Issie Mountford 4th, Amber Price 5th and Lydia Francis 6th to bring the A team home in 1st place. Mia Gligorovski was 8th, Bo Hatchett 9th, Frankie Bertacchini 14th and Imogen Albut 21st and that was good enough for 2nd place for the B team with Clarice Thorne-Henderson in 27th.For the boys, William Griffiths won the match with teammates Christopher Wood in 7th, Tom Price in 11th and Daniel Instone in 13th to ensure the A team came 1st on the day. William Maton was 17th, Evan Perry 22nd, Leo Davies-Pratt 24th and Phoenix Vaughan 26th meaninbg the B team were 6th with Arthur Cooney in 32nd and Harry Moreton 37th.In the U13 age group 5 boys took part and won the team event.
