Sportshall season ends with historical U11 double

During the winter, Hampshire Athletics organised 3 league matches for the athletes to compete in various events from a 1 lap race, chest push to standing long jump. The matches are competed against 5 other local athletic clubs.

nThe first match took place in Portsmouth where the Girls team started tremendously well winning the match with the Boys coming a respectable 3rd.

nThe second match moved to Eastleigh where again the Girls team performed superbly well, winning the match, with 6 WADAC athletes placed in the top 10. Not to be outdone, the Boys team came first with 3 boys achieving a top 11 place, quality team performances..

nWe then travelled to Aldershot for the 3rd and final match - the girls team, with 2 wins were in an unassailable position of having won their league. For the boys, this was incredible right as they were tied jointly with Aldershot and Southampton.

nAgain both Girls and Boys team performed increditably well, the girls team winning for the 3rd successive time with 5 athletes in the top 10. The boys took their performance to a different level, winning the match and in the top 11, 7 were WADAC athletes.

nThe athletes that represent the girls U11 - Liane, Hallie, Lydia, Fleur, Clarice, Imogen, Eleanor, Daisy, Lexie, Issie, Amber, Mia, Bo and Francesca. The athletes that represented the Boys U11 - Christopher, Pheonix, Arthur, Ben, Dominic, Henry, Jude, Jack, Luca, Oliver, William G, Tom, Daniel, William M, Evan, Leo, Harry and Sebastian.

nSpecial shout outs to Clarice, Christopher and Phoenix for competing in all 3 match, individual winners Lexie ( 1 lap, 3 Lap, High Stepper and Standing long Jump), Mia (Chest Push), William G (1 lap, 3 lap and chest push) and Tom (High Stepper).

nOnce again, massive congratulations to all the athletes that competed for WADAC in Sportshall and for achieving a historic WADAC double of winning both the Girls and Boys team event.

nMark and SteveU11 Team Managers In the U13 age group the girls achieved 3 overall top 10 finishes with Lucia Bertacchini in 2nd, Lily Flute in 4th and Poppy Crook 8th. The boys won the overall league title with Joel Stanton winning the individual boys event.
