Track & Field rankings

With the season approaching 1 month old, it is a good time to take the first look at the clubs track & field rankings. The rankings make impressive reading with no fewer than 9 age group top 3 performances already including 2 new age group club records. In addition, there are 6 all time top 3 performances (these are the best performances by anyone of any age whilst a first claim member of the club) including a brand new all time club record.Grace Colmer (coach Andy Fisher) is the proud holder of the furthest long jump by a WADAC female with a leap of 5.65m closely followed by training partner Amy Wall who remarkably just 1 week later jumped the second furthest mark at 5.57m. Oliver Thatcher (coach Andy Fisher) is responsible for no fewer than 3 all time top 3 performances, going 2nd in the all time list for decathlon and pole vault and 3rd for the 110m hurdles whilst competing on the collegiate circuit in the States. Erin McBriar (coach Martin McBriar) completes the all time performance list going 3rd all time on the womens discus list with a throw of 33.40m.In terms of age group performances Charlie Elford-Pond (coach Eric Davidson) has smashed the U17M hammer record throwing just bits under 60m in Southampton on Saturday. Charlie has also gone 2nd on the U17M shot putt lists. Ruben Price (coach Nick Anderson) is the other new age group record holder breaking the U15B 3000m record at the clubs recent open meeting with a time of 9 mins 34.74 secs. For the ladies Erin McBriar has gone 2nd on the U17W hammer list, Lucia Bertacchini (coach Andy Fisher) has gone 2nd on the U15G 300m list and Arabella Wilson (coach Andy Fisher) has gone 2nd on the U17W 300mH list. 3rd place best age group performances have been been recorded by Abi McBriar (coach Martin McBriar) in U15G hammer and discus and by Lily Flute (coach Andy Fisher) in U13G long jump.Club records will be updated periodically on the club website as they are so often broken and clearly the season has just started. The full rankings are shown below listing every single performance by a first claim WADAC athlete and these are very important as they are used to pick our strongest teams in the SAL & YDL league matches.Wadac Track Field Womens Rankings 2022Wadac Track Field Mens Rankings 2022
