Wonderful Wednesday for Middle distance running

The clubs endurance runners were in record breaking form on a sparking display of middle distance running in various locations on Wednesday evening.Star of the show was 16 year old Harry Wilson (coach Nick Anderson) who smashed his own club age group record for the 1500m running 3mins 57.07 secs to go 6th on the current UK U17 lists and 31st in the European U18 lists. The time is just 5 secs outside a standard for the European U18 champs and a full 8 secs faster than Harry has run before. Training partner Lily Neate (coach Nick Anderson) was also in record breaking mood, smashing her own 3000m U20W club record running an incredible 12 secs faster than she has done before in a time of 9 mins 50.29 secs. U15B Ruben Price (coach Nick Anderson) also recorded a pb in the 1500m of 4 mins 21.89 secs agonisingly just outside the english schools entry standard. Other performances in Watford saw U17M Tom Hicks (coach Nick Anderson) run 4 mins 18 secs and U15G Kate Atkinson (coach Nick Anderson) run bits inside 5 mins both running the 1500m.At the opposite end of the M25, GB senior XC international Stuart McCallum (self coached) made his seasonal debut winnning the blue riband last race of the night in 3 mins 46.03 secs in the night of 1500m races at Wimbledon and will surely go quicker now he has blown off the rust. Will Boutwood (coach Nick Anderson) won race 8 in an impressive new pb of 4 mins 04.38 secs and training partner Ben Findlay (coach Nick Anderson) won race 7 also in a new pb of 4 mins 16.79 secs.Closer to home at Salisbury U15G Poppy Taylor (coach Nick Anderson) won the 2nd 800m race in the SETAFA summer series event at a canter some 9 secs clear of the rest of the field and Charlotte Longden (coach Andy Fisher) made her seasonal debut finishing 4th in the pro womens 100m race finishing 4th in 12.76 secs.
