WADAC Teams off to the Road Relay Nationals

Saturday 24th September saw the Road Relays return to the Rushmoor Arena. Conveniently close to home and a much loved event so WADAC was able to send strong teams - 2 teams for the snr men's (6*6km) event, one team for the V40 (4*6km), and one team for the snr ladies (4*6km) event.Top performances from all saw great results for all our teams:- the V40 men (Nick Wood, Rich Bidgood, Pete Sansome, Wayne Bevan) finished 4th with Rich posting 6th fastest time in the category (20'32).- the Snr women (Helen Hall, Lily Neate, Rose Chesterfield, Erin Wilmers) finished 7th with Helen posting 7th fastest time in the category (20'17).- the Snr men A team (Will Boutwood, Andy Winterbottom, Guy Brayn, Adrian Fautly, Phil Berntsen, George King) finished 15th and importantly this qualifies us for the National 6-stage Relays on 8th October. Our fastest leg was Will Boutwood (18'31)- the Snr men B team (Ben Findlay, Chris Powner, Bracken Dawson, Zac Jeps, James Bewley, James Moore) finished 43rd (out of the 79 teams) with Chris Powner rolling back the years and providing the fastest leg (18'57).Results we can be proud of and many thanks are due to the team managers Sam Parkinson, Marcus Green and Rich Bidgood who brought the teams together.
