Next WADAC Expert Insights Series event - Chimp Management for the club's U13 - U20 Athletes.

We are very excited to be hosting the next WADAC insight Series for any U13 - U20 athletes at the club on Monday, 19th December, on Zoom at 18:00.
nYou may have come across the Chimp Management Model from Dr Steve Peters, which has variously been described as a "genius" (Dave Brailsford) and "the reason I am riding today" (Vicky Pendleton), "Without Steve, I don't think I could have brought home the triple golds from Beijing," Hoy has said.

nOn Monday, 19th December, former GB and Commonwealth Games professional cyclist Tim Buckle, who is part of Chimp Management, will deliver the session as part of the WADAC Insight Series.

nTim spent four years as an athlete, competing at an international level and then transitioned into the Team GB coaching staff. Tim was also the Olympic Talent Development coach for British Cycling.

nIt is a free session, and anyone from the club is welcome, including coaches who can have their own break-out groups as part of the event with their athletes.

nThis will be the second time I have put on the session with Tim, and it is one of the best things I have put on for the athletes.

nNot only does it help them with racing and competing, irrespective of their level, but it also helps them develop the tools to deal with things outside of the sporting arena.
